Shadowing a DO after sending secondaries?

I wonder if this is okay to do. I've shadowed an MD and got a letter, but I applied to a couple DO schools so far and want to update them about shadowing a DO.

DO Schools I sent my secondary to (about a month ago) - no responses yet.

I will also apply to Rowan and call it a day.

Can I somehow update each of these schools with this shadowing experience? I'll try to get a letter if possible.

Yes you can update them, just upload and send your DO LOR to those schools.

Thats exactly what I did. I submitted secondaries in August but mentioned that I am shadowing a DO currently. I shadowed August-present once a week. I had him write me a LOR and send that to schools. But yes you should update schools about it and get a letter if possible. My physician had connections to the Do he graduated from( I applied there) so he said he would also call on my behalf and talk to them, which he did.

IF you can get the LOR, by all means this is one of those few things that do help in updates.
