Shadowing a DO

I need help! I volunteered at a pediatricians office knowing that there was a D.O. there. She left 2 days after I got there, but I stayed for the rest of the summer shadowing MD's. I have been trying so hard to find a D.O. to shadow and have had no luck. I have emailed ~25 from alumni lists and called practices and have had no responses. I know its a really busy season for pediatricians with kids going back to school but is there anything else I can do?? If anyone has any other advice or knows of anyone I'm in the south jersey/philadelphia area please let me know. Thanks so much for any help offered!

Broaden your search to be something other than a pediatrician, since from your post it looks like that's all you're considering.

You can always call the others back. By no response do you mean that you left messages and didn't hear back?

Why confine your search to Peds. Philly is just littered with D.O.'s

yeah they never called back - a lot that I emailed wrote me back but they were in other states etc. Thanks for all those sites! I'm going to look into them tomorrow and I'll let you guys know how it goes.

But I was just thinking about shadowing in a clinic - will they let me in there even though there are med students there?

Call and ask. We don't have the answer to that. Only the clinic can answer that for you.
