I'm shadowing a podiatrist tomorrow. First time ever shadowing a career. What kinds of questions should I ask? Anything in specific I should look out for? Any advice would be appreciated!

1. Simply why they chose podiatry as opposed to other health fields.
2. Type of patients they mostly see or they wish they could see more of.
3. How is their relationship with the community.
4. What school did they attend. Where did they do their residency.
5. Any research.
6. Work/family life
7. Their relationship with other healthcare professionals
8. How gratifying is their work.
9. Any interesting cases.
10. How annoying do they find billing/notes.

1. do you like what you do
2. would you recommend this career to someone else

Also, ask yourself.. can I see myself doing this the rest of my life?
