Would shadowing a podiatrist be considered useful or worthwhile for applying to medical school?

podiatrist does not go to medical school so I definitely would not have that as my sole letter or main LOR. You need an LOR from an MD or DO.

If you have time, go ahead and shadow the podiatrist, but it won't really help with the LOR requirement. I would say drop the podiatrist and try to get a DO or even a MD to shadow.

Good luck.

What they said.

Even if you don't live in an area with any DO's, there will be MD's you can shadow.

I shadow a Podiatrist and a DO. I am planning to send both LOR to schools is this good or bad??

WHY ARE YOU STARTING THIS THREAD EVERYWHERE...PRE-ALLO, PRE-OSTEO, and RE-APP.

Would a mod please close some of these??
