I am currently volunteering/shadowing at the hospital next to my university. After 3 weeks of being there, I feel like there is not involvement when I come into the pharmacy every Tuesday. Is there anyway for me to experience more in the hospital setting without going past any boundaries and asking too much that can create friction between myself with the others tech and pharmacists?

P.S also I am a CPhT and I.V certified if that would even eliminate any of my limits at the hospital

The biggest obstacle you are facing is that you are simply a volunteer, not an actual employee. Unfortunately, as a volunteer there is not much more you will likely be able to do due to liability reasons. Since you are licensed, I would look into applying for a tech position at the hospital. Hopefully since you've been a volunteer and the pharmacists are a little more familiar with you that will give you an edge during the hiring process.

You've also only been there three weeks, and only one day per week at that. You haven't built up enough of a relationship yet with the pharmacists and the techs yet. Have patience and give it some time.

Just get a job as a tech. You will learn a lot more, even if it's in retail

Independent pharmacies are more open to shadowing, and for longer periods. But yeah, it's easier if you work there
