Shadowing DO vs. MD

So I've shadowed numerous MD's, but never shadowed a DO. If I apply to DO schools will this be looked upon negatively? (I see some schools require you to shadow a MD OR a DO)

A DO school is still going to prefer you to shadow a DO physician, but they understand that in some parts of the country, they are harder to come by.

some require to shadow a DO as you are going into the profession

But in general, not doing so won't hurt, but doing so will help.
