Really.....?? Won't people take advantage of this? I know that applicants for the most part are honest people, but this is a pretty big loophole in my opinion...
Or at least the hours should be accompanied by a reference letter confirming the hours or something.
I'm not sure if I completely agree with your assumption that the majority of applicants are honest people lol. But yeah, from what I've heard, a LOT of applicants do fib their shadowing hours.
Seems totally unfair to people who actually devoted a considerable amount of time to shadowing only to be on even playing field as someone who merely fudged their numbers... Sigh...............
Yeah. Everyone who can document their shadowing should get some extra gold stars.

How is it an even playing field? Shadowing is just a number. But, your experiences will come through in an interview.
