Is 70 hours shadowing a general dentist and ~80 hours shadowing a specialist sufficient? I don't think I'm getting much more out of shadowing at this point.

Also, is it a problem that I've shadowed a specialist more than the general dentist?

From what I've been told, they only want you to shadow so you know it's really the right career for you. It doesn't matter too much how many hours you have. Good luck! I think you have plenty of hours and should try to bump up other areas of your application.

Thanks for the info! Those required hours are total hours right and not just GP shadowing?

You're fine. No need to shadow anymore. Specialist and general shouldn't be a problem since you still have plenty of shadowing for both.

What's important now is to remember what you've seen because you will be asked about it during your interviews. Aside from that also its also good material for you to use on your PS ;)
