Hello all, and congratulations on your accomplishments!

I am currently an applicant to a couple of DO schools, and I am I need of shadowing experience ASAP. Any of you kind people who can help, recommend someone who is willing to help, or at least advise me on how to proceed, Please PM me, I will be very grateful.

I tried calling a few DOs in my area, non returned my calls, however 🙄 .

1. Calling doesn't work. Show up at the office.

2. Consider volunteering at a hospital that has DO's (especially in the ER) --> this worked for me.

3. Ask people who may already know DO's (friends, family, church members, etc.)

Try a clinic associated with an osteopathic school in your state. I had a hard time finding a physician to allow me to shadow them, especially due to the new hippa laws. I called all over, I never thought to call the med schools I was applying to. There is a family practice clinic and an omm clinic that has docs who teach at msu, they love to have premeds shadow them. I would hope that the same as true at other schools.
