Shadowing Residents???

I started shadowing at AEGD & Faculty Practice at my university last week.
But faculty doesn't want anybody watching over their shoulder so I just followed couple residents and they are really really friendly.
(They also let me do stuff like suctioning, or looking at X-rays from the beginning.)
The question is should I observe one specific resident? or should I observe every residents in the place?

You should shadow a dentist at a private practice. But also stick around the dental school because they are letting you assist them.

Shadowing residents may be great but it is neither "general" dentistry nor private practice.
