I'm a pharmacy student about to graduate, considering doing either a pharmacy residency or applying to med school. I had initial plans of doing a pharmacy residency till I actually did my internal medicine rotation where I rounded with the medical team and actually was far more interested in the medical aspect than pharmacy aspect. I wanted more experience rounding with doctors, which I think will help me gain experience both for if I want to go to med school or re-apply for pharmacy residencies, but was wondering how to go about this. Do I just e-mail any doctor I am interested in? Phone? Or is it good to get in touch with a residency program director? I tried to call hospitals in my freshman year of college before deciding whether I wanted to do pharmacy or medicine but it was very difficult and I ended up staying in the pharmacy program, which I now think I would have switched to pre-med had shadowing experience. Insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks
