What is appropriate to wear to shadow a dentist?

I shadow another dentist earlier this summer and wore business casaul (with small closed shoes with a small heel.) my feet were hurting at the end of the day from walking around so much.

are semi-dressy comfortable sandals appropriate? Are tennis sneakers appropriate?

i just wore a white t shirt with kakis and tennis shoes.

no slipper. And a business attire is alittle too much 🙂
