If you plan to practice dentistry in another country than it may make little difference. If, however, your intention is to stick around, be aware that the atmosphere in a dental office in the US could be considerably different than outside of the country.

I'm sure it does, though if you're planning to attend a US dental school, I would make sure to also shadow a dentist/specialist(s) in the US. It might be an interesting experience for you, as you could make comparisons, and also possibly speak about it during interviews if it was to come up.
