I heard that it's free to send to 5 schools and they charge you more money after that.

I was wondering if it's ok to call the testing center and ask them to send scores after i get my result because I do not want to pay them additional money for the score that I know that I do not have a chance.

I would highly suggest waiting to select more than 5, just in the off chance that you for some reason do horrible and then have to spend all that money over again to send the scores out for your retake.

It is very easy to request the additional score reports, you just go to the ADA website you went to for the DAT registration and there's a link to go to for "Requesting Additional Score Reports." I found the process to happen pretty quickly too.

I did exactly that. When I first took my test, I only put five schools down and once I finalized the schools I wanted to apply to, I added more and was able to send them out through the DAT (ADA I believe) site and pay with a credit card.
