I'm considering getting a septoplasty and a turbinate reduction surgery. However, I am worried about possibly getting ENS (empty nose syndrome). Was just wondering what theories there are regarding the best procedure for turbinate reduction i.e. radio frequency? Something else?
Also in hopes to greatly reduce the odds of ENS, should I request just reduction to lower or middle turbinates? How can I have the most successful surgery? How common really is ENS? It's hard to find accurate statistics.
Thanks for the advice!
