Anyone thinking of taking some profits out of thr market now? 2021 could keep ripping of could tank.

If there is a significant drop in the next few days I'd do a quick tax-loss harvest with my Vanguard MF

To be in a position even to do a TLH..

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 10-15% drop, but that would only be a buying opportunity. As long as the fed is expanding it's balance sheet I am not betting against stocks.

Who do you guys follow on twitter? I'll throw out a few names, @cperruna, @BrianFeroldi, @RobertDurant7, @saxena_puru.

All of these stocks flying is making my head spin. I've almost got some FOMO with various stocks/bitcoin, but I learned my lesson last time ethereum peaked and I invested at the top. Now I know another opportunity will always come along, just have to be patient.

I'm so bummed I sold FCEL, NNDM and half my FRSX!

Yea I agree. Rates are low so people need to put their money someplace

Congrats on LGVW whoever held! I sold that one for a loss, you're welcome!

FRSX $6 now!

Are you guys trading in your Roth or taxable? My Roth just has an index fund but I'm beginning to think I should start trading in it. But you can't use the money until you're 65 or so? It feels like fake money if I can't use it.

Do you really want to gamble with your retirement money? You do you but my retirement accounts are staying in target date funds.

I do risky longs in my roth.

Tesla. Lgvw.

You could have done pltr or something in your roth. I would NOT do pennies or most of the plays you were in earlier,.tbh. they worked out but you can't get your roth money back.

The most risky I would go in a Roth or retirement is ark funds.

Should not have sold! This will be big
I’ll buy back in unless it doesn’t dip. I have a good bit of loss due to a biotech I bought a few years back that I finally sold. I’ll most likely close all my positions and buy back after new year.

Yes I cleared our some positions this.... MGM was the big one, sold 70% of my position. Will probably sell the rest in 2021 (taxes). Trimmed a small bit of RKT, and GIK on tbe pop today.

@mentos

Thinking of starting a position in INAQ tomorrow.

Insurance company back by Chamath.

If it moves like LMND when it first IPO or MP (another SPAC he backed) i should be good, despite not the best entry.

Roth is kinda small compared to 401k, $6k per year vs $19.5k. You're right though, probably better to leave it.

I have a trading buddy who does the opposite. Has index funds in taxable and uses Roth to gamble LoL. Makes a ton of trades and doesn't have to worry about tax ramifications. She made 14k profit in the past two weeks with 60k invested, crazy. All tax free.

Cool. I try to buy SPACs between $10-11 now, although they all seem to go to $20-30 eventually. You know me and my weak hands, I'd end up selling INAQ at a loss for $13 or $14 haha.

Party's over for FRSX. I'm going to hold this time, still up a lot with $2 cost basis.

FCEL down 5% premarket, I may reenter today. Missed NNDM dip yesterday.

Plan to buy GEVO if it stays under $3.

Congrats to those who held APXT after I pumped it up here!

Well yea that's optimal. Oh course I read about it before bed tbe day it popped 6% LOL

I'll probably go small and average down if I need to

I trade in Roth and have index funds and long-term holds like AMZN, AAPL, GOOG, MSFT in taxable. Funnily enough, both strategies did quite close this year: Roth +48%, taxable +43%.

Getting my mortgage paid off was a game changer because it frees up a ton of cash flow and I feel a lot more content, so I don't feel like I need to use the Roth money for a while. So now I just focus on investing to FIRE and reducing my taxes as much as possible. Currently have $150k in tax free gains in my Roth.

Bought 394 GEVO@$2.98 premarket. Ordered 500 but only got 394 at that price. It's already ripping!

Wow, how'd you find that before the pop? I need yo get better about that, if I'm not in before a rip I tend to miss out.

Complete luck haha. I just saw it recommended a lot this week, you know when people on stocktwits tag stuff like $GEVO $FCEL $FRSX after every comment.

That's still a sweet deal. In no small part thanks to your recs of FRSX my Roth is up 125% since I opened it last month.

Did you keep any? I'm up 40% in 2 hours with GEVO, maybe I should get out too. Santa rally seems to be fading away.

Okay I'm ready to recommend this now. If you missed PLTR then don't miss this.

APXT is said to be the next PLTR. While all the EV SPACs get tons of hype, this cloud company has flown under the radar. Many predict $20-30 next week. Jump in quick! They're already partnered with Microsoft. NIO has Battery as a Service (BaaS). APXT has Software as a Service (SaaS). This SPAC is a sleeping beast, one of the few that hasn't popped yet. This is a cash positive company, a top ten cloud company, the best value out there.

You know me, I'm hesitant to buy any stock besides NIO and PLTR. I'll only expand from these 2 if I think it's a slam dunk with low downside risk.

My current portfolio:
NIO 65%
PLTR 22%
APXT 10%
LGVW 3%

I've been bagholding APXT since you posted this (back in November) and I bought it doing exactly 0 due diligence... but then today, today my dear @mentos I broke even on it. Time for some gains! I sold out of all my FRSX around $3.30, I wasn't expecting that meteoric rise to continue. So between APXT and FRSX I'll continue to blindly follow your advice.

RMG was my pick too lol. I gotta start following my own damn advice!

I fell asleep so I'm up doing some after hours buys now.

Finally got into ARKG for $104, 5 shares LoL. Been waiting for this monster to dip below $105 all week. I think ARKs are due for a correction next week so I'm ready to buy more.

Also bought ACTC for 11.58, new spac that's supposed to be big. I almost bought yesterday but didn't and missed a little run today.

Blindly follow my picks and you will be handsomely rewarded!

Just for fun I'm going to post my taxable account balance each time I post a buy/sell update here, Chris Sain style. What's up YouTube! My goal is to get to 100k next year like he did. I'll post the good and the bad.

Road to 100k: Currently sitting on $42,993. Started around July or August with $6,500 or so.

Wow that's super impressive - you went 6k to 42k in July... no added money??

No I added money whenever. Too lazy to see how much. Maybe 2-3k per month? Last add was a couple weeks ago.

Thinking to sell the rest of NIO shares to buy CIBR and MARA. I was planning to sell NET but it is still running, so will wait.
