Shelf Exam Turnaround Time

So I took my first shelf exam today, OB/Gyn. My question is, how long does it take to grade these things? Do departments have to send them off to the NBME? Or do our schools already have the exam keys? Thanks.

It took about 2 weeks for us to get our scores back. I think they send them off to be scored.

At our school, the shelf exam grades took 3-4 wk, and some depts will let you know too. BUT final grades for a clerkship take anywhere from 6wk-6mos (w/OB/GYN being notorious for 5-6 mos on an IN-HOUSE exam!!!).

Our psych shelf took about a week to be graded (took it on the 15th and we were notified by the department that we could ask about our grades on the 21st).
