Well, at least one of them. I've been AWOL this last quarter. There wasn't enough time to do much else than keep up with school work. Five of our 8 finals determined our grades in those courses. Pacific is notorious (among their students) for having the worst 3rd quarter. We had 2 students drop out, but only one was for academic reasons. I've got a lot more time now, so I'm be back to snooping around.

Thanks for contributing absolutely nothing to the forums. All of your posts are worthless and only aim to stir up controversy. Say bye, bye. You WILL NOT be missed...truth does hurt.

What are you talking about? Don't talk about things you don't know about. Pacific has a very intense program otherwise we wouldn't finish in three years. Pacific has 10 classes the third quarter. Your statement infers that we take only 8 classes to graduate and thats pretty ignorant.

I wouldnt necessarily say that UOP is more intense because it's a 3 year program compared to a 4 year program. For instance, at BU, we have to do 2 12-week internships and a 10 week externship. Thats about 9 months spent at a site outside of BU. Knock those out and you pretty much have yourself a 3 year program. Basically, the time spent in the classroom and in clinic is just as intense. UOP may be a little more intense because of its 3 year degree, but Im sure there are many programs that can be just as hardcore, despite the 4 years it takes at other schools.

I didn't mean that its more intense than a four year program. I can't say that since I have never attended a four year program. I'm just saying that it is impossible for a three year program to be intense free/easy.

naw dude i wasn't implying that at all, so there's no need to get your panties in a bunch. here at buffalo we go year round and we don't finish in three years and are currently taking 10 classes. i just meant what i said "must be nice". personally i wish our school took out some of the stuff that we'll never use again so we could finish in three years. so chill out cuz i'm not bashing your school

Crap! I guess this means I have to stop trolling. I wish you would just stay away, Jadawhatever.

My application status at UOP was changed to final review(allow 4-6 weeks). Is this a bad sign? Do u think there might be a chance that I get an interview from UOP? I just wanned to ask u b/c I know u are currently going to UOP. Thanks.

I totally agree with you Jaba! But there's no stopping them...

Hey Javadi!!!

I didn't use your first name, as respect for your privacy. Remember me? You taught me the DAT. So whats up with UOP? I didn't even get a look from them. I was really considering them as a top choice. I figured with my scores I'd at least get an interview. I don't understand how they choose their applicants because I know a guy with a Much lower DAT who got accepted back in December! Whats up with that? Anyway, I'm not too tore up about it. I hope everything is going well with you.

Pacific has been around a long time and is very well respected by it's Alumni. The Alum give a ton of money each year to the school. They love Dr. Dugoni and his executive board. These relationships that have developed often influence acceptance decisions. Not in an exclusive way, but it can often feel that way. The initial screening is done based on numbers. After that, 800 applicants (from a total of 2500) are left over. All looking qualified on paper within a range (for example...all DAT scores might be 19+). With over 800 people to choose from it is very easy to miss very good applicants. And that is where it pays to know people at Pacific. Having a good letter of recommendation from a past alum goes a long way. That being said...I didn't know anybody at Pacific nor did I know any Alumni. So, although relationships help, not having one doesn't mean you can't get in. It just helps to have one. I'm sure that you were a good applicant. Perhaps you should have called more often. I don't know. I'm not on the admissions committee. But, I wish you had gotten in. You would have liked it here. And, I'm sure you'll like UCLA. Send me a tell with who you're name. I'd like to know.

wow, javidi comes back and causes quite a stir! Good? Bad?

Oh... welcome back.
