Has anyone done this fellowship/does anyone know anyone who has or can comment on how it is/what the EM grads have done after graduating etc.

Appreciate any help whatsoever.

There are several critical care fellowships available to ER trained physicians. As many of this forum's veteran members will confirm, opportunities in surgical, medical, and 'anesthesia-based' critical care exist across the country.

The Shock Trauma fellowshop at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland is one year in length. It generally accepts several fellows from the departments of surgery and emergency medicine each year. 3 months are spent supervising the, "TRU", or trauma resus unit. Other months are spent in Cardiothoracic ICU, Multi-trauma ICU, Neuro-trauma ICU, and other specialized units at UMMC. There are two months, I think, of elective time and fellows do rotate with the Maryland State Police's air medical program and Baltimore City Fire Department ALS units. The program's website is fairly informative, and I'll include the link. EM trained grads have gone on to academic and clinical positions. One recently went to University Hospital in Las Vegas and divides his time between Surgical ICU/intensivist work and the emergency department. Additional info can be found here:
