3.3 cumulative gpa, 3.64 bcp gpa, 3.7 science gpa, very sharp grade trend (2.7 to a 4.0) 30 MCATS, research experience, good ec's. resident of maryland. shot at umd med? or any other allopathic school?

You've got a shot at it, but it's definitely not a sure thing at all. Make sure you can explain your upward grade trend (e.g. what happened before, how you fixed it, and why you are definitely now mature enough for medical school). Make sure you apply broadly, and probably apply to some DO as well.
