Should I add Vandy and Miami to list, I retook the MCAT in Aug?

I retook the mcat and scored a 31P (12 P, 8V, 11B; went up 5 points 😀 ) and was planning on adding a couple schools. I was thinking Vandy and Miami, but I'm wondering if its too late to apply to these schools. Also I am a little concerned about the 8 in VR. I have a 3.78 overall, and 3.59 bcpm from a top 20 school. I'm out of state for both schools. Do you think its worth even adding them on my AMCAS? I have been complete at every other school since mid-Sept.
Thanks.

If finances aren't an issue, might as well go for it.

you should definately apply to vandy. you only have to pay the amcas fee. they don't send secondary unless you are invited for an interview

you could probably apply to vandy but you are wasting you time. People with much better stats than those were turned down for interviews there this cycle.

You are not on the admissions committee, and I doubt you've the credentials to make that judgment call. Do you believe in karma? Law of retribution? If you do, you'd be best served by not dashing other people's aspirations. If you don't... well, I hope statements like that aren't emblematic of your personality. If they are, well, great stats aren't going to help you.

i have stats close to the op and got an interview at vandy. it doesn't hurt to try, you never know.

i decided to add both Miami and Vandy today. I figured its only $60 in the long run to add on both schools, and if somehow i do get a vandy interview (i know its like a million to 1 chances) then itll be worth the $30. thanks for the advice.

I disagree. Vandy interviews a lot of people, and contrary to what some people think, there isn't a formula for the way the pick candidates. So, be positive and never let the SDN nay-sayers get to you.
