Hi everyone, I just received my MCAT scores and got a 21 (PS=9, BS= 9, VR=3😡). I have a 3.39 GPA overall and 3.31 science, lots of extraculicular activities, and lots of shadowing experience. I am also a Hispanic applicant. I know my MCAT will most likely keep me from getting accepted this year, but I would like to hear what others have to say. Thanks.

A 3? You're going to have to retake. No ifs, ands, or buts. But first, you need to figure out why you scored so low. Do you have a really tough time with the English language?

English is my second language, but I speak it and read it fine. The verbal reasoning section has been the one I struggle with the most, and I think it is because of the way the questions are asked. I used the examkrackers strategy and was averaging 8's, but I'm thinking about taking a course this time around.

If you were averaging 8s, but pulled a 3, that's very odd...did something happen on test day?

Just as a thought, even with an 8, you're hitting around a 26.

Combined with a 3.39 cGPA, you're in a rather uncomfortable situation. Crush the MCAT the second time around.

You need to practice verbal for at least 6 months.

read a lot of english books for the next year

and then study hard for the MCAT, and rock the verbal :luck:
