Should I apply now or wait a year?

As a US Citizen IMG, I can either apply this year (before ECFMG Cert, I graduate in November), or I can do research electives/get more USCE and apply next year.

The application cost isn’t an issue, I’m just worried I either won’t match/will match to a worse program if I don’t wait a year?

Applying IM, Pass/250 on my steps, 3 months of USCE
