I am in a similar boat. I took the MCAT on May 1st and there was a ton of Ochem that I didn't know on the real test. I didn't even finish the PS section. Ugh. But I don't want to put off applying for another year. I'm not sure what my score is, and won't find out until June. I have heard of Non-trads getting accepted with sub-par test scores, but it makes me really nervous. I'm not sure what I should do. The advice my father gave me was to apply anyway. He was rejected the first year and accepted the second even though his two test scores were similar. He also applied as a trad student though.

What do you all think? What would be the cut-off test score for a non-trad, 3.8 cGPA, similar sGPA, and good PS? I was scoring between 26-29 on the practice tests. I am not very good at standardized tests, but really excel in classes.

I would wait for a score. You took it early enough that you should get it back just as applications open and make the decision then. If you get a sub-25 score, the answer is easily, DO NOT apply.

If you score between 25-30, with all sections at least above a 7, then go ahead and apply to a wide-range of M.D. and D.O. program.
