Do you think it would be worth it for me to add UofP?

I applied to a healthy amount of schools but I am still very worried about getting accepted. I know UofP likes re-applicants so this is why im asking. Plus I wouldnt mind soaking up some California rays for 3 years.

What do you guys think?

Reapplicant 20/20/21 DAT
Ton of community service, working as intern caseworker for the Red Cross
A semester of research with xyitol

Is it worth it?
Im willing to spend the money if its worth it
Any other schools you think i should add?

Thanks

Who told you they like re applicants? I'm a re applicant with 20/21/23 and I haven't heard anything from them...

you have a shot, I personally know re-applicants who did not get interview invitations the first time, but they did the second time and they didn't change anything major on their application, and also on UOP's webpage says that sometimes it might take a few tries for an applicant to be able to get an interview from UOP.so go ahead, you never know....

well, if you haven't submitted your application yet for uop, then i don't know how good your chances will be. if you've seen many of the other sdn threads regarding uop, all of the pre-dec interviews are gone and the remaining limited post-dec interviews will be fairly hard to get. your best shot at uop for now is either...apply with stellar stats (high gpa/high dat) or wait till early next cycle and have all your stuff submitted to them by july at the latest.

now if you're a reapplicant, did you receive an interview from them before? or contact them to see what you needed to improve on? i think you definitely still have a shot if you apply now, it'll just be really difficult to get an interview.

It definitely doesn't hurt, but I don't think there are too many interview spots left. Search for some of the UoP threads, I remember people talking about it.

Oh wait, hang on. http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=568071&page=3

So I guess there aren't any pre-December 1st interview spots left, but they haven't given out post-December interviews yet, so your chances depend to a certain extent on how many post-December interviews they give out.

Oh and also, you already have a bunch of interviews. I wouldn't worry too much, you seem like you're pretty set.

Thanks for responses, Yea ive been fortunate to land some interviews but I had such a bad experience last year being waitlisted twice and then eventually rejected that im preparing for the worst. Just wanna get in. I keep thinkin the reason why i didnt get in the first time was im horrible at interviewing.

I think ill add UofP after dec 1st. See what happens with the schools i already have interviews with.

Im so nervous, basically ****tin bricks till i get that acceptance.

aw Don't worry, I am sure you'll get in this time around. UoP definately favors reapplicants

oh yeah, btw you prob want to add uop now then. cuz they take a while to get your stuff in review 🙂

Definitely. Waiting another month and a half to submit your app just decreases your chances. If you want to add the school, add it now.

Don't add UoP....I submitted mine Oct 14th last year and it was dead in the water....this year I submitted early and got an interview.

UoP finishes their admissions process VERY EARLY

Why? They are a three year institute that starts school in July.

Last year I applied in Oct despite 10+ UoP graduates telling me not to because their admissions process is so accelerated, so on their advice and mine, don't do it for this cycle.

Like armorshell and others have said, their pre-Dec 1st interviews are all filled and the remaining interviews are only based on who doesn't accept the offer Dec 1st.
