Has anyone been accepted with prerequisites remaining?
Do you know anyone who has??

I want to apply this cycle, but I have 1 year of physics (2 classes) plus the second level of chemistry left to take!
Some schools also want medical terminology, so for those schools I will have 4 classes remaining.

I have ~3.7 prereq GPA, maybe 3.5-6 overall GPA.
60 hours outpatient, 70 hours in peds, 20 hours inpatient SNF, also gaining more observation hours now, but at a clinic of NZ and AU physiotherapists, so I don't think this will count on my application, but I plan to get 40 hours here for the summer.
I have a good variety of extra curr, and jobs, including FT job abroad.

I thought I would be good to go, but now looking at it, those classes are difficult and they might think i would get a lower GPA with them, and compared to other applications if they finished all their prereqs, i would go to the bottom of the list??

Should I apply now or wait? Applications are expensive, dont really have 1000 for 0 acceptances.
thoughts?

You should definitely apply now, especially since your stats. Most schools allow you to apply with up to 4 incomplete prereqs, but check on their PTCAS page to make sure. I had to complete the same classes as you when I applied and I was accepted. Just send them updated transcripts when you finish your classes.

Thanks! That's good to hear you had the same classes left and got in.
Do you mind telling me your acceptance(s)?

Of course, I will not apply to programs that require less than 3 remaining prereqs. Unfortunately, this crossed off the cheapest schools in my list D:

TWU Dallas and UTMB. I am about to finish my first year at UTMB, which was the more expensive option. It felt like it was a better fit for me. Of course money is an important consideration, but you also need to choose the school where you feel you'll be the most successful!

At the time of my application last fall, I had six pre-requisites outstanding - four were being taken at the time of application and two were taken the following spring semester. I was accepted into three programs, so you should definitely go for it. They will just require that you keep a minimum GPA or your acceptance will be rescinded. Just check with each program to see what their requirements are.

wow thats amazing! Do you mind telling me where you got accepted as well? I am doing a lot of research to find which schools I would be accepted at, but it is taking such a long time (and only 2 in my states will consider me, so now I am open to most states in the US)
did you guys have a lot of observation hours as well? I can understand like a PT aide getting accepted with 6 remaining, 3 remaining, etc, but for someone without those extra hours.. i find it hard to see how a school can pick them for 1 spot out of 80 or so!!
