I am thinking about applying to DO school as well as Ross university. What are my chances?

GPA: 3.57
sGPA: 3.6
MCAT: 497
Major: Biology
Minor: Math

Shadowing: < 8 hours

Clinical hours: 4 years at an OB/GYN clinic with MA experiance

Volunteer: Americorps- Washington read corps (1700 hours) teaching kindergarteners in a poor community how to read

Extracurricular: Student government, co-founder/ president of pre-health club, vp of math club, Tri- Beta, Society of fellows (honors society at my school), Research for 3 years under an ecology professor with a published paper (didn't have many research options), undergraduate research award

Your application strength with EC's is great and GPA is solid for DO; however, most people would not suggest applying until your MCAT is over 500. There are people who get in with less than 500's though.

Not with that MCAT. Retake and score above 500.
There is an off chance you could squeak into new new schools like ARCOM maybe.

Any DO shadowing? LoR?

Nothing wrong with waiting a year and studying for the MCAT. Get a high enough score and you could aim for some State M.D.s. If not, it'll give you more options for D.O if you get a 504+.

OP is fine for all Podiatry programs and will likely get a scholarship at the larger schools if he/she applies early enough.

With that GPA, I would assume they have a shot at DO schools, though minimal and limited to new schools.

If OP retakes MCAT and scores 512+, looking at MD range.

Plus Gyngyn says most MD schools average MCAT scores.
