I graduated last year so I am not a "current" student.

I just received me official .edu school email address.

Should I attempt to take advantage of this deal?

Technically, you are supposed to be a current student. If they decide that I don't qualify, it will only cost me about $650 :wow:

Have any of you guys done this? Did they actually make you verify your enrollment?

I wouldn't. It says you might/would have to show enrollment verification and obviously you wouldn't have that. You might as well wait and try to get a deal like that when you are enrolled.

You're probably right. The sad thing is I've never seen it offered this cheap and the deal expires in April.

I did that. It's legit/awesome- all you have to do is have a verifiable .edu address- yours should work

They didn't make you fax a copy of your schedule to them or anything like that?

I had to do that once a few years ago when buying academically-priced software.

Do you have a friend that's in school that you could use? Also, I don't know where you live, but most big universities have that same deal at the campus bookstore and you don't usually need to be a student to buy it from them.

My local university has it for about twice as much.

Actually, "the ultimate steal" would be to download it for free off isohunt.

Shhh, let's not have people learning about iso's or torrents.:meanie:

I know that at IU (Indiana) has it for $10. Not only that, but also
XP professional
Vista Ultimate
Photoshop CS3 (A steal/bargain if you ask me)
for that price too.

just hold out. I know a lot of schools (undergrad and graduate) that provide things like office for free for students. If not, you could always get it other ways.
