Should I be worried? PLEASE HELP

Hey guys,
My biggest worry is about RC
I know it is a tough section plus my english as a second language is another reason to be worried
I uesd to do kaplan method and I was getting 18 with Kaplan practices
I switched to Search and Destroy with Qvault and I am getting 18
Topscore with Search and Destroy I am averaging 20

But everybody says that the real thing is WAY HARDER than all of these
If I will get 18 in this section I will be more than happy!
The ADA website says it is all science passages... but it sounds like not guaranteed bc people here in SDN mention Ethical passages!
I am imagining the RC a huge barrier and I believe I will be shocked in the test bc of it though I did a fair amount of practice!

Is it real the search and destroy does not work with the real test? what do you guys think about RC scores comparing with your practices? is it really that the practice we are doing is nothing comparing to the real thing? are my scores good to get 18 in the real test?

I feel ya man. English is also my 2nd language and I got a 450 on sat verbal 4 years ago LOL.

Anyways, when you take your DAT, just relax and read the passage. Don't get scared and be confident.

I suggest you use the Kaplan method of actually reading / skimming through the passages while jotting down keywords, names, dates, numbers, etc.

S&D is a huge gamble; you will lose big time if your DAT RC is comprised of mainly tone / inference questions.

I used the Kaplan method and I did pretty well; I highly recommend it.

I took the DAT last week. English is my second language and I got a 17 on Rc. tHE First passage was very easy and I was able to use search and destroy. The second and third passages required me to do calculations =( Stay calm. That's really important. Good luck!!

What method did you use for the other two passages? were they scientific?

and the length... how many paragraphs?

2 were scientific and the other one was about hurricanes. I was getting 20-21 in topscore, but the real DAT was way harder. I suggest you use search and destroy and try to stay calm, even if you run out of time. limit yourself to 20 minutes per passage. .. The first two passages were about 12-13 paragraphs each, and the third one was short but it was very scientific.

Lol I actually prayed today...if it wasn't for that RC section, I would have made higher. Good Luck, the tests are different even at the same prometric center, I think they have like 1000 questions from each section where they randomly choose for each test taker, thats what the lady said. Oh yeah on the Bio just skip and go back to them because once you start and see those random questions you will be discouraged but just mark and skip.
