Hey. I did not find a post for this resume question.

Should I bring a resume for an interview to do volunteer/ shadow work at a hospital, or do they usually provide another application? Thanks.

In my experience, they had their own application and didn't really care what else I'd done (the vetting process doesn't go super deep when you're willing to work for free).

That said, it's probably good practice to bring a resume along when you interview for anything - you never know when it might come in handy. But I'd guess that in this case you can get along without it.

Professionalism and preparedness can only make a good impression. Bring it along and add it into your file if it's possible to do so, but don't force it. Some of the applications that I've seen ask you to recall previous experiences or leadership traits and so having a resume on hand can help you with such questions. In the case of competitive pre-med programs, your resume and professionalism may distinguish you from other candidates.
