Should I buy Achiever?

Hey guys, I've already bought Topscore and the 2009 sample ADA test. I just wanted to know whether its recommended to buy Achiever? I've heard that its overkill in a few sections and I just want to know if I need it to score above a 20. If its necessary I'll buy it, but if it's just a complicated mess, I'd rather use the time and money for something else. let me know your thoughts.

hey man hope all is well! i noticed ur thread on the other board! go for harvard if you want it! my friend got in with a 20 and a 3.9 gpa. im sure you can get it in, but dunno if you want to go there or not.

ye ill see whats up with achiever based on other peoples stats. im currently registered for june 26th lets see how i feel. oh and i got an A- in orgo 2

The more practice the better!
I did one full achiever exam a day until my Dat to get the timing down.
I managed to go through the sciences twice.

Treat them like the real thing, but don't treat your scores like the real thing!
Scores tend to be 3-4 points higher on the actual Dat compared to achiever.
I got a 14 on Bio on the third Achiever test lol.

But isnt topscore a better gauge of the real DAT? Im doing destroyer right now which is already 100x harder than the real thing so I dont see if I should spend extra $$$ on something EVEN harder! did you feel you learned anything new or reinforced any concepts in a better way vs. destroyer?

Destroyer is good for chemistries.
Yes, Topscore is probably a better predictor of your real score.

The Achiever tests will reinforce the things that you have studied for.
The software is amazing, not ghetto like Topscore.
It wont be representative of your real score, but again, it's more practice material.

Also, it had hardest PAT section ever, which was representative of the real DAT. Also the Reading comprehension was well done and also representative of the DAT. The QR isn't that bad too, but Crack PAT Math trained me well for the QR.

In the grand scheme of things, $60 is nothing. You're gonna be spending a lot more than that with the applications, and of course, dental school.

You always learn something new when you do more practice. haha. It's just how you balance your time to get as much practice in as possible before the test date.

Yeah I did them timed.

I treated them like I would an actual exam.

I may be the minority opinion but I was not happy with Achiever. Way more difficult than what you will see on the real DAT.

so not worth the time? I just want to use the remaining time wisely and not sit there and kill myself lol I'm already doing that with destroyer. what did you feel was unrepresentative about it?

Yea F the achiever, I think TopScore is a better deal. Actually F**K both these companies because they only give you 3-5 month licenses what the ... I am retaking my DAT and both of these companies are charging me again just because the 3 months are up. I bought topscore and the Dat achiever last time.

They should use that money that they get from us to get some actual F***in software engineers so they can implement a system like Crack DAT

I love Crack DAT. I can still use my Crack DAT PAT

Yes. And topscore. One of the best ways to gauge what you know and where you need to study
