Hi everyone,

I def. applied to way to many programs, could have saved a lot of money oh well....I have a question about canceling interviews. I know that to cancel scheduled interviews, I would need to call/email the program. However what about interview invitations that I have not responded to? Should I email the program telling them that I am not planning on accepting the invite or is this deemed unnecessary and would over-burden the program coordinator.

Thanks so much

You should let them know, so they can offer your spot to someone on their waiting list.

Yes, they're expecting the courtesy of a response one way or another. A quick "thank you for the offer but due to scheduling conflicts I am unable to accept" and you're done.

Go to ERAS application and the programs you applied to. At the top of every program page there is a place for you to select that you are no longer interested in that program. Just select that and you will be removed from future interview invites. Just make sure you don't accidentally do that to those your interested in.

True, but that wasn't the question.
