I plan on applying to med school next summer, but I was also thinking about applying for a post bacc in case I dont get in. I am a Texas resident and currently a junior. I will probably have a 3.35-3.4 GPA and a 3.2 science GPA when I graduate. There were 2 years when my grades have not been great, with about 6 C's and 2 D's.. However, my last 2 semesters I had a 4.0 with 17 hours each semester. I have worked around 25-30 hours a week each semester in research labs.
My Extracurriculars: intermural sports, fraternity, many hours volunteering and shadowing, 5 on-campus organizations, music recording, medical mission trip, flight training (for private pilots license) which will start soon, and I plan to get several publications within the next year.
I plan on taking the August MCAT. Should I apply for a post bacc while also applying to med school????
