Hi! I am currently a senior majoring in Neuroscience with a cGPA of 3.41. I took the MCAT in September but I voided it simply because I was not ready (and due to test anxiety and other reasons). Besides those two things, I have really strong extracurriculars and leadership positions (founder of a successful competitive dance team, two years of research with presentations and a potential publication) and pretty solid recommendation letters. I am thinking of pursuing a SMP to help increase my GPA and my chances of getting into med school. But I am also worried about the cost of it as well. I don't have any debt from my undergrad and I would like to not have any loans before med school if possible. I'm at a point where I feel stuck as to what is the best course of action. Thanks in advance!

With a 3.41, you're fine for any DO school right now.

You're going to need to fix the test taking anxiety before you continue on this path.

But if you're boning for the MD, unless you live in a very lucky state, read this:

Thank you so much! I am also potentially looking into working full time next year and studying for the MCAT on the side to work on that

So when you mean by a lucky state, a chance of getting into it's MD school? (I live in TN)
