Should I do PharmD/PhD

I'm currently enrolled in a PhD program. While I enjoy research sometimes it can be boring. I am 2 years into my program and I'm having doubts to whether or not I should've just went to pharmacy school instead. However I could always do PharmD/ PhD or get my PharmD after. I'm already 25 and I'm at the point where I just want to move back home and practice as a pharmacist some days and teach other days. What should I do? Should I stay in my program and just get a PharmD after I finish or should I get my PharmD along with my PhD or just quit my PhD program altogether

Unless you want to do research....just get your pharmD. I know plenty of pharmDs that teach.

The program that I'm in is within a pharmacy school but idk how my professor would feel if I concert to PharmD since I'm already two years into the program. I'm almost done with my coursework within the program( like a semester left). So the rest of the program will be devoted to working on my dissertation

I would recommend continuing onward with the PhD especially if they will cover your preclinical tuition for pharmacy school. I know the guys in my class with dual MD/PhD track get their tuition plus stipend in their preclinical years.

Will they cover all four years of pharmacy school? I only have two years left for my PhD if everything works out well. I'm just at a point where I don't know which one would be best.

I'd explore your options. See how much time it would add to you're graduation date.

Phd student who will write a lot. Make sure you are aware that "I should have just went"is wrong ( should have gone). It is a mistake i have seen a lot
