Should I Drop or Not?

I am taking a Microbiology class right now, but I am not doing so good in the class. After 3 out of the 6 tests, I haven't got anything better than a 60. But for me to pull out a 'C', I would have to make 86's or better on the final 3 tests. So, should I withdraw from the class or not.

I will be graduating in the fall of 2008 and I already have 4 other withdraws on my transcript. So, would these withdraws effect my admissions too. Any opinion on this would help me out a lot.

After 3 tests, and you still can't manage to bring up your course grade average, then you're probably not going to unless you do some major changes in studying or get some tutoring. In my opinion, it's better to withdraw from the class, and take it again to get a B or an A than to get a D and have to retake it later.

I would definately drop judging by your grades it's going to be hard or near impossible to get a good grade in the class, c doesn't count.

You are either not ready to be in the class ( like maybe you haven't taken all the pre-reqs), or you need to figure out why you are doing soo poorly, perhaps lack of time or proper study habbits ?

Remember it's better to have 5 W's than worst case scenario 4 W's and 1 F. Do you really want to screw up your GPA ?

I think you should drop that class, focus on the other classes to get A's. Retake micro later.

You should definitely drop the class. I had 2W's for 1 particular class, took it the third time and got a C. My reason for dropping it the first time cause I didn't want a C. Walking into the class the second time around, thinking I knew that stuff...didn't study, and was afraid of a W and a C, I dropped it again thinking that I would never take it again. Well well...the schools that accepted me ALL required that class, so I had to go back and take it and got a C. The schools never asked me anything about it.
