Hello everyone,

Before go into my questions, I want to tell you a bit of myself. I am a non-traditional student (graduated in 2010) currently holding a part-time job and taking 19 credit hours this semester.

I am taking 2 general bio courses, 1 general physics (algebra based) and 1 orgo I at an university.

I am currently suffering in physics and orgo because I have a feeling that I don't have much time and will probably getting Cs in both but I think I can pull a B for Orgo but no physics. Just like other schools, the professors aren't much help, TAs are trying to finish up their phD and don't have much time for us. My classes go from 8:30-5PM and I got home around 6PM.

I can't quit the job because of the financial issues.

So, my questions are:

1. if I drop physics, will this affect my application based on the fact that I withdrew general physics I when I was a freshman in college. Since I drop it again?
Or should I keep physics? People are having different views on this .

I know dental school's schedule is super packed...

2. will the drop raises the red flag that saying " I am not good enough to be a dental student because I couldn't even survive the 19 credit hours of undergrad. courses" ?

I am thinking about taking orgoII, physicsII and biochem at community college because the tuition is so much cheaper.

3. Will this be a bad decision because I started from an university to community college. Will the admission/deans accept the fact that tuition is the only reason why I am taking classes from community college?

(From my understanding, that community college courses are not any easier than the university courses. The community college is trying to build up their reputation/ranking some sort of that so they are trying to offer upper level and hard classes)

Thank you guys for taking your time to read my questions.

19 credits and part time job? Thats a lot !
I really cant answer all of your questions, but I would suggest that you try your best to get b In physics.
Im having problems with calc, but im busting my ass to just finish. I dont even care about the material in it. I just memorize and try to ace the exams.

Keep trying and talk to the professor. Wait until the due date for withdrawal and see what happens.

I think you're taking way too many 'hard' classes in a single semester. I did something similar, physics 2, biochem, microbio n their labs in a semester, really messed w my gpa. My advice for you would be to spend more time studying n don't drop physics yet! U have to put in the time..

U might want to reconsider the part time job... 19cre hr is a full time job itself. If anything, I would drop the part time job, ask family for help, loans... Put more time in studying,
