Hi everyone, so I am currently a junior and will be applying to medical school next summer. I am enrolled in 4 classes (total 15 credits) which are biochem (4 credits), physics 1 (4 credits), history (3 credits), and a chem research class (4 credits).
I was taking history as a requirement for my school, but due to an initial misunderstanding with my advisor, I recently found out I don't need this class. If I drop it, I will receive a W, and end up being enrolled in only 3 classes (12 credits) so will still be full time. But how would taking only 3 classes look on my transcript if I drop history? And one of my 3 classes is a class where I just conduct research?
This history class is getting to be a lot of work and stress, and if I don't need it, I would honestly not take it. But would it be worth the W on my transcript? (I've never dropped a class before.) How would med school admissions regard this? Any advice? Thanks! 🙂
