Columbia is my top pick but I haven’t heard anything from them. Should I send them an email expressing my interests?

Stats:
25 AA, 24 TS
3.9 GPA
1 year of UG research
500 volunteer hours
200 hours of shadowing

Applied mid-June

I worked very hard on my application and I’ve even had an interviewer tell me my app is “bullet proof.”

What do you guys think?

Why do people assume because they have "good" stats that they can get Pre Dec interviews from any school they want?

Clearly there was some part of your application that did not stand out as much as another applicant.

It's unfortunate, but that's just the way it is. Things will never be the same.

Didn't you know?? Everyone who posts on sdn has guaranteed acceptance. They were told by other sdners

you could but I doubt it would sway anything but it's up to you. also this whole "bullet proof" thing, people say that all the time but in reality you may not match up to their "numbers". Back when i was applying, i thought i had guaranteed admission to my dream school but i didn't even get an interview.

Your stats are amazing!
Best of luck!

I don't think OP or anyone is assuming that they will get an interview. However, based on their numbers, I would think they have as good a shot as any. They are probably thinking the same thing.

NO, why would you do that?? your application is how you "express your interest."
