Why would you not apply?!? Your scores and GPA are great! Apply early and as long as you don't apply to some of the Ivy leagues that require 20+ dat scores, you should get multiple interviews.

apply to your state schools. you could get in. Aren't those scores average?

Quit everything and study your rear end off for a month and retake the DAT if you feel like such an idiot.

Everyone wanna be a dentist but nobody wanna hit the books.

You should be fine, you have a 3.9. If you have good shadowing, volunteer, ECs you will definitely get into your state school and most of the private schools.

overall... those are good number. Dental schools LOVE high GPAs and relatively balanced DAT.

However, If I was you, I'd aim at 15-20 schools (just to be safe)

Don't let SDN skew your perception of what a good score is. I know people that have had their pick of schools with an 18AA. You have a good shot at getting into a school if the rest of your application is strong.

Ok...I feel like a grumpy old man, but...ARE YOU F*ING KIDDING ME???

You are holding a Summa Cum Laude GPA, have a 85%+ DAT score with several sections in 90%. Hmmm...why would you be accepted, really? 😉

Now, if you are weak in extracurrics, that's a different issue, but you gotta tell us about that...

Good luck 👍

I only got an 18, I should give up my seat!

I was accepted to the University of Washington with a 3.4ogpa/3.2sgpa and AA19/18TS/22PAT. It is all about how you put your application together and the applicant as a whole. As long as you have a few EC's and a good personal statement you will be fine. good luck.

I believe my app was sent July 20, 2012 and I was in the 4th or 5th batch? I applied to 20 schools, got 4 interviews, and once I was accepted to my state school I didn't bother to hear back from the others. Send me a PM if you need any help or have any other questions.
