Should I get a "W" or a "B"?

Guys and Gals,
I know this is very s""tty question but i wanted to know how many of you out there would like to get a "W" or a "B" if you are doing post bac and wanted to raise your GPA. Getting a "W" would not effect your overall GPA but it doesn't look good on your transcript. However, if I got a "B" 3.0 would get me back to point A (starting point) again.
Please share your honest opinion. THANK YOU

Are you for real? Take the "B."
 
Depends what class its for. If its some ****ty English class, I'd take the W and just retake it. If its a science course you've already put a lot of work and effort into, I would take the B.
 
take the B ... they will ask you why you got at W
 
how much longer do you have in this class? Is it impossible to work really hard and make an A? Honestly, i don't know what i would do or which would be better. I think i'd probably just study until my head exploded.
 
Definitely the B. It looks bad if you have a W.
 
i took a c+ in intro bio instead of opting for the W. didn't wanna go through the torture again
 
I would take a B. You are not choosing taking a W over a C or D.
 
Also keep in mind that there are some schools that say outright that they won't take in applicants with even one "W." I think Pacific and Loma Linda are the ones, but correct me if I'm wrong. A "B" is not a bad grade at all, if you get an "A" in another class, then your GPA is 3.5. If your on the verge of getting a D/F then it may be a different story.
 
Take the "B" I can guarantee the "W" would be 100 times worse.... Seriously, take the B

They won't take in applicants w/ even one "W"!?!?!? 😕Where does it say this? I've never heard of such a thing. I mean, it makes sense for the adcoms to ask you to explain why you dropped the class but I never knew it was THAT bad, especially if you only have one. But I definitely agree, a B is not bad!

I got accepted to 4 schools with a W in a physics class. I was asked about it only one time, and easily explained the situation. That being said, W's aren't good to have on transcripts so I would just take the B.
 
Take the B. It's dental school, not medical.
 
Don't get your panties in a twist. It was a JOKE. 🙄 You shouldn't stress so much, you'll die earlier.

Yeah yeah why not...its just the DENTAL SCHOOL and not Medical school...
i assume you get in this "Just the Dental School" after taking the "DCAT"...hehehehe😀

calculate whats going to be different in total GPA for one class geting B instead A! almost nothing (!0.0? zero point something)
second of all "w" will hurt you sometimes even more than geting "c" espicialy if you already have few "w"s in your transcript!

take the B. you'd have to explain a W with good reason, not a B.
 
Thanx you all. It looks like getting a "B" is a better choice. I was so pissed because I studied my B**TT off but got a "B" on my first midterm. I still have another midterm and a final. There is no way I can get an "A" in this class. There is no curved. It's a difficult class with a difficult instructor. It's a Neurophysiology class. First, I was trying to impress the dental school. Now, I can't even raised my GPA. It's going to be the same. Wat a waste of time and money! 🙄 I always made a stupid decision like this. Who am I going to blame??? SHoooT!!😡
 
Just relax and do the best you can. Getting a 'B' never killed anyone 🙂
 
i didnt get a B or better for my whole freshman year of college.. predents are crazy these days!!! i wouldn't even consider a W unless i was guaranteed failing/D grade
