Should I get my EMT certification?

I am in University currently pursuing a Exercise Science degree and would like to go into Physical Therapy the problem is I have like a 2.5 gpa and thing is i dont think i have the grades to get into grad school. I looking into double majoring as a athletic training also.. But this summer I was wondering if it would be worth getting a EMT basic?? I think im going to get my firefighter certification next summer maybe?? But what would be the pros and cons?

I think it'd be easier to answer this if you clarified why you want to be an EMT.

well i figure if i would want to be a firefighter down the road i would need one and maybe it would be a good resume thing ? As well as a job if i could find one during school

If you want to be an EMT become an EMT. Don't become an EMT because you think it might be a resume builder down the road.
