Should I get the new editions?

I have the 5th edition of Barash. Should I get the 6th?

How often are you guys updating your texts? They are awfully expensive and if the changes are minimal, I am not shelling out for the newest editions. I guess the old edition is 6 years old. Should still be fairly updated, right?

How about the new edition of M&M?

Depends on how often you reference the texts. With all the online resources including SDN, are conventional texts obsolete? I can't remember when I opened Barash but I pull out the ipad all the time.

Anesthesia+Analgesia, Anesthesiology both have beautiful ipad apps for the journal. Add some ebooks to an iPad and you won't ever reach for a text again.
