Science is hard. Even if you like the classes you might not do well in them. Work harder. I'm starting medical school this fall even though I had some terrible science grades throughout my academic career.
Medical school is going to be harder. And then there will be the long nights on call during residency. Medicine, and the science behind it, is fun. That's why alot of people are drawn to it. But its not easy, which is why most pre-meds eventually end up as business majors or some other unrelated pursuit. Its also why doctors earn lots of money...most people can't handle the demands of the process.
If you want to be a doctor, suck it up. Learning persistence now is going to make the rest of it alot easier later on. In the end only you can decide if the sacrifices (time, pleasures, comforts) are going to be worth it.
-Bill Brasky
"Third: Did you know Bill Brasky is the godfather of my son?
Fourth: Bill Brasky?
First: He's a big fella!
Second: Oh yeah, he's a big guy! Goes about 6'7", 385.
Third: Well, anyway.. he shows up at the church in his golf pants, caked in mud. Well, ol' Bill Brasky pushes the priest aside and says, "I'll baptize that piece of calamari!" Then he pours Scotch all over my baby son and says, "There! You're baptized!"
Fourth: And your son is blind to this day!
First: Yeah, he makes brooms somewhere in Georgia, doesn't he?
Third: I have no idea. [ pause ] To Bill Brasky!
Together: Bill Brasky!!"
