OK I'm a undergraduate student at university of central Oklahoma .... This is the beginning of my second semester of my freshmen year of college.... my first semester was a complete disaster. ... how bad is it... good question how bout an F in bio and a C in history a B in algebra and a B in English comp.... making my gpa a 1.87. ... but this semester was so hectic ... I was also taking a course a college called heritage for my certification for emergency medical tech. ... Twas 5 hours a day 5 days a week and the weekends I would help my parents .... I was overwhelmed with so many things so I was taking two colleges and overwhelmed myself with to much.... I learned my mistake.... However I do have next semester ... and up til my senior year to change things around.... my question is .... do I even have a chance.... can I still recover and graduate with a good gpa... I am willing and dedicated and now that heritage is over I finally will have quite a bit of time.... A LOT OF TIME.... so I need some guidance.... I still have a lot to learn... I'm not the smartest.... Note strongest... but I am very hard working and that's all I can do is work hard.... If anyone can steer me to the right direction I'd really appreciate and tell me please if I have a chance at all.... (p.s I am going to retake bio 1 cause I can't have a F at all.... ).... I'm sorry for I'm asking to much... I guess I'm mixed with being ashamed and depressed and kinda hopeless .... sorry just need guidance if any of you have some past experience or something ..

Just look up "DoctorLacrosse's Inspirational Comeback Story" in the WAMC section. It's an incredible journey that I think you can learn a thing or two from him.

Biology F
History C
English comp B
Algebra B

I think you can still recover from this. Retake Biology, make sure you get an A this time. As for next semester, aim for atleast 3.7+, medical schools like to see upward trends. Create a schedule for yourself that includes classes and time to used for studying. Each week is 168 hours, use the time wisely and plan accordingly--good time management skills are key to success. Good luck.

No don't give up. But don't make excuses either.
