Should I list my research thesis as its own activity on AMCAS?

I have multiple types of research activities, which have all occurred while working for the same lab.

Summer research program = 400 hours = made and presented poster
Honors research program = volunteered in lab all 4 years of undergrad = 1000+ hours
2 independent studies with presentations (3 credit courses)
Honors research thesis = 30 page thesis paper on my research over the past 4 years

Should I list my thesis as its own activity even though its not getting published or anything? The paper is on my experiment which is getting published eventually, but I doubt before I submit my application.

I listed all activities coming out of one lab as one activity - so I spoke in the description about my research, the poster I presented, the paper I published, and my thesis. Because in the end it all related back to the same research experience. If you worked in multiple different labs doing different projects, then definitely feel free to mark those separately.

I would just list all of this as one entry since all of this was done in the same lab. You can list out the specifics, including the thesis, under descriptions.

You may enter the experience of having completed a thesis as its own entry (usually Other is the tag), if you wish to and need the extra space for description , insights, impact, or whatever. It's for you to decide if doing so enhances your candidacy for med school.

Super bump, but I've been in one lab for 3 years and the first 2 years were similar topics (Phase 1 and Phase 2) but the third was different. Should I list all 3 as separate events?

Generally speaking, the bolded is probably a grey area at best with most people on SDN suggesting that posters and/or publications of a national/international scale (original article in a peer reviewed journal or authored poster/presentation at a national conference for the american society of X) probably deserve their own slots. Obviously this is assuming that one has the extra slot or two for it. Just my two cents.
