I got nominated for two honor societies but i never accepted.......i wanted to know if i should mention this or not? would it help or hurt me? i just didnt care for these things like honor society etc..

In my opinion, being nominated doesn't really mean that much unless you accept and do something with that nomination. For example, I was nominated to Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, accepted, and eventually became president to do a lot of different activities - that I wrote in the app. However, I was nominated and accepted to Phi Beta Kappa that I didn't bother writing since that just shows I had decent GPA - which is already shown in the transcript.

I agree with tiger. If you never joined it doesn't mean much. I was asked to join young ambassadors which is a prestigious political group but turned it down and never even mentioned it on the aadsas app.

Kind of like sticking a finger in the water and then wondering if you can claim you went for a swim.

If you can tie it to a greater theme, as a supporting statement, but on its own I don't think it is worth mentioning.
