So what looks better Pass no credit option or withdrawing from a class? I'm pretty much not gonna get a PASS if i PNC it, but i might. But PNC pretty much does NOTHIGN for me anyway, since i have to take another class in it's place for aletter grade.

So what looks better? Or should i say, what looks less worse?

You know...I'm not completely sure on this, but my guess would be that it's better to do a Pass/fail option if it's not too late than it would be to totally withdraw from the class. Those "W"'s can look pretty nasty on a transcript...but this is just my opinion....I'm not sure what the official answer would be!!

Did you say that if you took it pass/fail, you might not be able to get a P? I think the W looks much better than an NP. Withdrawing is not the kiss of death. I withdrew when I overcommitted myself and stupidly signed up for 20 credits (all upper-div)+ research. I was doing well in all of my classes, but I just couldn't keep up and stay in the lab as much as I needed without passing out. I attached a little note explaining this with my secondaries, but the interviewers who bring this up always say that it wasn't any big deal whatsoever, and that it's obvious from my transcript that I was taking a heavy load even after I withdrew. I've also been accepted.

My premed adviser said that 1 or 2 W's are generally OK, but if you have 5 or 6 then of course it's a problematic pattern.

should i send a note to schools about courses that i took an incomplete in, but completed later on?

one was during a qtr where i was dealing with the death of a family member. secodn was during a qtr when i was crazy and decided to add research to my schedule of classes + volunteer clinic + volunteer non-clinical + work
