Just looking for a little advice. I was just accepted to Albert Einstein and I like it there, but it costs a lot less to go to UConn which is my state school. (where i am waitlisted but pretty sure i will be accepted soon) When i compare the two schools i like the curriculum from both equally, and the locations are pretty equal as far as i'm concerned as well... so it comes down to cost and ranking... any advice on which i should choose?

This ranking thing is blown out proportion, especially on this site. I would go where you feel you'd be most comfortable at.

Don't pay a thing, look at the school rankings for grant money:

Looks strangely like the US News list, doesn't it? Shows you what a joke those rankings are as well as what they are basing it on, but if you really care about them this is nearly a perfect approximation. You'll also notice that UConn is a pretty good school, and if it costs less then I say go for it.

If you really like both equally, go with cost. Unless you're talking about the top 10, ranking just isn't that important (and only then if you're interested in academic medicine/research).

Go to Einstein!!! Of course, that's just because I want your UConn spot 😛 . In all seriousness, go wherever you felt more comfortable... I think med school is what you make of it, so I wouldn't worry too much about rankings, unless there's some specific aspect that you are looking for in which one school is phenomenally better than the other (a specialty match list, etc).

If money is a huge issue for you go to UConn. Case closed. If it's not, go to where you'll be happiest.
