I shadowed a doctor however it was during my freshman year- 4 years ago- I am thinking of listing her on AMCAS but I am scared that she might have forgotten my name (b/c everyone says my name diff. and she couldn't even pronounce it right). If the schools contact her to confirm, I am scared that she might not remember me. I really don't want to visit her since I didn't really like her, so what should I do? will schools call her for 60 hr of shadowing? Also, she doesnt have a MD degree but has probably a BSc, AuD, or MS- she is an audiologist (she dealt with children who had cochlear implants).

An uadiologist has Au.D. The question is do u want to go to an Audiology school or a medical school? I assume it's the latter so you need to shadow someone in that profession, a physician..

I can understand where you are coming from however, I observed preoperative and postoperative results of cochlear implants on children and I think that shows a good interaction between patients. I was affected by this a great deal- one of the many parts in which stimulated me to go into the healthcare field and BECAUSE of this shadowing I started working in an otopathology lab (just doing small stuff). I liked lab so did go to another lab after this (no pub) I went to NIH last summer.

I probably would leave it off since she is not a MD. I shadowed a dentist for 30hrs and did not put it down....helped me make a decision but nevertheless I did not think it would look best...

just make sure to get in some physician shadowing...👍

Wait, they don't even give leeway to seniors like you
